Biography:
Bingang Xu is a full Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests include functional materials, smart wearables, wearable electronics, energy conversion and storage, computer vision and artificial intelligence. Prof. Xu has published over 200 refereed journal papers and holds 12 granted patents. His recent work has been published in top-tier SCI journals such as Nature Communications, Matter, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Materials Today, Nano Energy, SusMat, Advanced Fiber Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Applied Catalysis B-Environmental, Carbon Energy, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, etc. Prof. Xu leads his team in doing frontier research, and over the past 5 years, has published over 60 journal articles in high-impact SCI journals with impact factor over 15.0 and also in Top 5% of ranked SCI journals as corresponding author. He has been ranked among the World's Top 2% most-cited scientists in the report of Stanford University. As the Principal Investigator, Prof. Xu has led his team to win two Gold Awards with the Congratulations of Jury in International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva in Switzerland. Prof. Xu is now serving as a reviewer for over 20 world leading journals with impact factor over 10.0 such as Nature Communications, Matter, Advanced Materials, etc. He has been invited as Chair, Co-chair, Editor, Co-editor, Keynote Speaker, and Section Chair for a number of international conferences, and also served as a TPC member for over 20 international conferences with themes in advanced materials, sustainable green energy, electrical engineering and automation, materials and environmental, computer science and artificial intelligence, mechanical and applied mathematics. Prof. Xu is currently the Editor and Editorial Board Member of a number of SCI journals, also served as External Assessor and Examiner for overseas research grant proposals and PhD thesis.
