标题: Ultrasonically Catalyzed Gas Sensing & Its Application in Single-Sensor E-Noses
摘要:
High-performance gas sensing and electronic noses have huge potential applications in human health diagnoses, industrial control, quality control, environmental safety, the internet of things, etc. Our research group proposed the ultrasonically catalyzed gas sensing method in 2017 and then successfully applied the method into the high-performance sensing and single-sensor electronic noses. This report reviews the detailed research results in this respect. The contents of this report include two parts. In the first part, working principle of the ultrasonic catalysis in gas sensing is given and explained, as well as the structure and characteristics of gas sensors catalyzed by airborne ultrasound. In the second part, the gas identification principle and algorithm of single-sensor e-noses that are based on the airborne ultrasound catalyzed gas sensor, are given and explained, as well as the structure, system design method and gas identification characteristics. It shows that the ultrasonic catalytic effect can not only effectively decrease the lower sensing limit of conventional gas sensors and increase their sensitivity by one order of magnitude, but also provide a new gas identification principle which has the merits such as single sensing element, room temperature operation, potential of higher system sensitivity, etc.
